Yes, there was an old steam engine parked at the old coal dump. It had been wrapped in plastic but it had been shreeded by the the seasons.

I think it belonged to Fred K but don't know where it went. Maybe to Tule Lk. with the rest of his stuff.

I knew Fred and helped him on the #25 at McCloud when I worked out of Dunsmuir. Saw him with his mother in Goldendale, looking at that branch before they tore it out. Also saw him when I was switching at Seghers on the way up to Stimson. I don't think he will let anybody help him further all the steam stuff he has. We had a friend, Lee Carlson and when he died I lost track of Fred.

Its sad. He has so much equipment and the parts to bring it back.
