The other E2A, 921A (originally LA-1), went to the Chicago & North Western when the E2 sets were divvied up among the three railroads in 1948. According to the Jim Scribbins book "The 400 Story", the unit was renumbered as 5003 and was destroyed in a head-on collision near Rhinelander, Wisc. in 1953.
