Leesdale siding has been a long planned and requested project, waiting over ten years for funding, originally proposed back in 2000's by VCTC, when Ginger Gherardi was still there. It's long needed. I am unsure of the current status, but I don't think that this will complete a DT segment all of the way to the Nard.

This whole package for a year on these corridors is about the equivalent of what is spent in 2 weeks or so, on the "great HSR fiasco" from Chowchilla to Wasco.
