There is a wonderful book out on the Washington, Idaho and Montana Railway. Written by Thomas Burg it covers all aspects of this logging road. A photo of No. 1 is on the cover and plenty of infomation on that locomotive is found in the book. The book is available from either the Museum of North Idaho, or from the WI&M Historical Preservation Group. Contact there is Don Somers . They are the ones that have restored the depot in Potlatch, Id. and are always looking for volunteers in continuing that project and others.
