There is a tie gang with a 10pm to 5:30am curfew that has been working between Coast and Newark. It leaves multi-mile slow orders behind based on tonnage coming across the freshly worked track. This is part of a broader multi-project Coast tie and rail renewal program (this segment got new rail a year or so ago)at various spots between Oxnard and the Bay Area. A system gang has been working the Oakland Sub between Hearst and Altamont overnights leaving similar slow orders.
