Some clarifications:

Per WABCo, the "26 system" is "26-L", 26 being the 26th design of control valve and "L" standing for "locomotive". The original type of generic 26-L system uses a 26-F control valve and a 26-C brake valve (which includes an SA-26 self-lapping independent). Later configurations use the 30-CDW type of brake valve with the same control valve. The passenger car 26 system uses a 26-C control valve, which has several internal differences.
