The problem isn't the tribes, it's the far-left wing environuts that have taken over Hood River and Mosier as a little "Portland East" enclave.

The Dalles east? They don't care about the railroad, they love it. It's all about good American industry, jobs... Moiser west? The only trains they like are MAX, Streetcars, and the mythical High Speed Rail that will magically get them to their Silicon Valley and Hollywood jobs in just one hour.
