Good, let them! This site used to be chock-full of interesting information from knowledgeable and reliable sources, but the anonymous nature of the board has led to an extremely rapid degradation of quality content. I used to come here for interesting news, facts and data, but now only occasionally scroll through with a bowl of popcorn in hand just to get a few laughs. By my own count there are less than five reliable sources left that regularly post to this forum, and even they can't be completely trust to do the anonymous nature of the board. The majority of the posters on this board seem to be nothing more than whining crying extreme far end conservatives and liberals at each other's throat's.

Your lazy hands off approach allowing the trolls and nasty arguments to persist has DIRECTLY contributed to the political divisions in this country! Give me one good reason why you shouldn't verify the identity of posters and accuracy of content? After all, just look at how well the opposite approach has worked out. What used to be an enjoyable source of information dissolved into a laughable comedy, and is now nothing more than a festering flaming pile of crap. If you're so worried about the big bad government coming after you, just put a banner at the top of the page saying this is an anonymous chat form where anyone can post any opinion, we are unable to verify the identity of users or the accuracy of content. Plain simple easy done.
