Metal lasts a long time in the Lower Mohave Desert. Low rainfall equals little rust. Messing around many years ago at Hummingbird Mine, North of Goffs in Lanfair Valley, my dad & I found steel beer cans that, when turned over, still had clearly visible PABST lettering.
