SMART also has tenders on the payroll to manage the moveable bridge over the Petaluma River. A high level bridge parallel to the freeway bridge will solve that, but of course ramps not compatible with freight.
Possibly some rethinking might happen when the Larkspur extension opens, at quite a distance from the ferry terminal it is supposed to serve. Hopefully there will occur some discontent and agitation for continuing to southern Marin. And eventually the City.
Ebart shines the way for SMART, featuring double trackage and creating a new ROW down the center of highway 4. Precisely how SMART should proceed down 101 to Marin City - IMHO it is an ugly-ass corridor that light rail can only beautify.
