I did a Google Earth 'flyover' and see that at the top of the track in the actual industrial section, the track goes two ways, east and west. The west section seemed to go only a short distance until I zoomed in and found the mostly overgrown track must go a half mile and just dead ends. There are a couple of small businesses nearby but there are no tracks associated with them.

Possibly built for 'future expansion'?

Back in the 90's I rode those tracks on a friend's speeder, once in cold weather (the little one-lung engine couldn't quite make it up the grade) and the second time on one of the hottest days of summer--we were about to come down with heatstroke at the end. Fun stuff!
