Blanchard was a favorite spot for shooting the SuperChief and others, by RR fans and for PR, especially from a spot in the background for WBs.
And for folks who don't know the name, it's on the Raton Line, so barring major need for detours only ATK #3 and #4 .
If you want the EB shot, while traveling toward Las Vegas [NM] look carefully for a dirt road on the right , which will take you to an underpass that makes both sides of the track accessible- or it used to.
THe track is now owned by the State, and of course there are spots with semaphores in several places. Many were replaced before NM took possession
