Omnitrax only owns the line from MP 6 (measured from Kettle Falls) to Grand Forks, BC, known as the San Poil line. Everything else north of Chewelah is leased from the BNSF. Believe it or not, there has been considerable interest from other holding companies and shortline railroads in this property, as difficult as it may be. There were numerous bids put in to lease it, which the BNSF is now sifting through. July 1 is still the latest target date for the winner to be announced.
