It was on this day that the Golden Gate Railroad Museum was supposed to move their equipment off the Niles Canyon Railway's property and over to Hearst sding to be interchanged with the UPRR. Equipment that was to be shuttled to Hearst was on the main at Brightside and needed to be cleared for the 7/1/18 excursion train. First former SP 1423 was used to move some cars around on the yard track before SP 5623 was used to haul the cars on the main to the Wye.
