Do you mean the new Lucin cutoff or the old road around the lake including the Golden Spike?
Do not go on the current row. Have never been all the way around on the old north route. Had a good friend that did most of that years ago, pretty lonely.

With another friend, we started in new cutoff from the East end, failed to heed a no trespassing sign, ran into a UP dick that was reading us the riot act and ready to site us for trespassing when my friend said wait a minute I am retired SP and had his old ID. The guy then cooled down and told us to turn around and leave.
