I know the feeling. I was given a ride in a P100d. And now the new Tesla Roadster does zero to 60 in 1.9 seconds, 250-MPH top speed, 620-mile range. 'Taint cheap though.

And the thing is, electric cars are much earlier in their development curve than internal combustion engine powered cars. Things can only improve. But let the customers decide. Some need Vroom!, some don't.
