There is a distinct difference between a manufactured steel beam used as part of a structure to be part of and support that structure and a manufactured steel beam meant to be an anchor port for other steel structural members that will be welded to it. The integrity designed into the later is much more than that required by the former.

It does not take a structural engineer to know that.
