Chavez Ravine was named for old lady Chavez, who refused ( along with other residents ) to leave when City of Los Angeles bought the land they were living ( squatting ??? ) on, so the City forcibly evicted them, then gave the land to Walter O'Malley so Dodger Stadium could be built.
BTW - A Final score Milwaukee 4 - Los Angeles 0. History did not repeat itself tonight, as the Dodger batter struck out with the bases loaded.
