Back in the mid 80s The wife and I would stop by Spengers and buy lobster tails after seeing Tracy and Chuck at Berkeley hardware for my bi monthly model railroad fix. When the fish market stopped selling I guess the writing was on the wall unfortunately. Iconic Berkeley hardware is no longer at the top of University either. They moved several years ago down the street, just not the same. I guess time has to march on.
