It is always interesting what buzz phrases exist in corporations like railroads. I only learned one lesson/buzz phrase at the hands of an old Hooktender logging: "Run or die you S.O.B." To see some of the smaller railroads go corporate is disappointing. 30 years ago as track was spun off, you could walk into an office, talk to someone in charge and get a decision that the RR would stick with. Today, nobody will make a decision that might land themselves in hot water with a lawyer up the food chain.
