Looks like the horseshoe job, down at Richardson Bay, on the way to Sausalito.(or backing up to go to Detour) That would be the 101 bridge in the background. That was the only engine left at Tiburon after the tunnel fire.

That bridge behind in that pic, used to be an auto draw bridge in the 50s, along with another one up at Green Brae (That is how they spelled it in 1930, TT #6). That part of 101 was made into a 4 lane highway and the old wood bridges went bye-bye. The rail bridge at Greenbrae still had one set of tracks in order to go from San Rafael to Detour. They both raised and lowered together.

101 was just opened at Marin City, up the hill to the Golden Gate Bridge. The other way through Sausalito and up the hill entering 101 at the north end.

Rode my bike all over the area and even my motorcycle, up Mt. Tam on the old Right of Way
of the old Mt. Tam RR.

Loved riding the barge switcher around Tiburon, going on board the tug, etc. I even got to ride Engineer Silverthornes retirement train from San Rafael to Tiburon behind a steam engine.

And who knew, a few years later I would be a Fireman and Engineer on the Coast.
