There was access on the east side of the bridge. Along the shore of the bay. There were a set of stairs leading to the top of the approach trestle, next to the Hetch Hetchy pipes and building.
Bridge tender had access to a small boat and a speeder.
The brass bell on top of house is inscribed with Southern Pacific Lines. There is still a pair of coverall and newspapers and books still in the house. There are several barrels with lube oil still on the centerspan of bridge.
