Those DD-40s *were* new - the first one was there, and it was brand new.

I remember that day, but I was only seven - no Jim Beam for me. I didn't realize I was looking at Beebe's private car, and I didn't know 844 hit 100. We didn't ride behind it; we tried to keep up on roads. We didn't go to Promintory - we stayed at Ogden, where the engines were.
