I had not heard of this plan; how does it mesh with Precision Scheduled Railroading ??? Also wondering if this is a cost - savings move on EwePee's part ??? Espee once installed a helper spur in Rocklin, CA., with the thought that they could save on yard expenses at Roseville. The union pointed out that the spur was within the limits of the old Rocklin Yard, and switchmen would still receive penalty payments.
