The RPN photo information lists the photographer as Joe Blackwell.
Several points of interest to me:
1) The train is short, has " only " 2 units for power, and they are the slippery C-415's ( the radiator end was very light ) that Espee usually MU'ed together for more traction. I don't remember just when EwePee instituted their policy of requiring Espee to OVER-power their trackage rights trains between COI & Bartolo, but this power would NOT qualify.
2) Two switcher units and a short train could make this a Whittier Local. When did Espee abandon that branch ???
