Thanks for the link Steve - now that we are discussing the subject, I'd be interested in hearing some commentary on the photo. I like the photo quite a bit but at risk of tainting it, I feel I may have been just off the mark - an oh so close almost. I'd be curious to hear what others think as I am my own worse critic.
There is the blur and the engine pops but due to the distance the effect is not as great as I would have hoped. This shortcoming is partially made up for by the interesting site, colors and plumes. To be truly effective I think nothing but the engine should be in focus and the blur should actually appear as directional zoom lines (as they do on the right side of the photo).
Here's another attempt which I think worked much better but was not quite as sharp in focus.
Which do you prefer - like one, the other, both or still a work in progress?
