Private Car Service has been chartering cars for clients for trips since the 1990's. Over that time, we have used a nice variety of cars. However, many of them are not available and it is a challenge to make more than a very occasional trip the last few years.
We did take the Silver Iris for a trip from Emeryville to Denver and back last month. Left on Thursday 2/21 and arrived into Denver on Friday 2/22. A good snow storm as we came in. Lots of sun but cold temps over the weekend. Enjoyable time as it was restaurant week in town.
Left on Monday 2/25 with more sun. As always a great climb up the Front Range. Intended to be home on Tuesday 2/26, but UP had issues over Donner which led to the Zephyr being turned at Reno. Passengers made their own way back and the Silver Iris finally arrived a week late on 3/5.
Have interest in trips to Denver for baseball with the Dodgers in June and the Giants in July. However, we are on a "wait and see" for those trips if things will work out.
As mentioned, it is indeed a challenge to provide trips that meet client needs. Things can be done, but it requires adjustments and flexibility an all sides.
