perhaps I am overly paranoid, but after pushing 30 years of will Caltrain ever get to downtown?--perils of Pauline, I fear one of the bait and switch--oh we ran out of money, that part will bne delayed routines. You likely remember when the Transbay real estate project was proposed, there was talk of a huge concrete lump instead of roughing in the Cal/HSR station, and back east, the Big Dig which got through the EIR by promising a N-S station link and then poff that part of the budget disappeared down the corruption hole. Thus, if a Caltrain owned project, maybe their tracks won't be sacrificed. Ultimately, at nearly 75, I won't live to see the new transbay tube unless they get moving, so...
