Charles,

That is speculation on my part but, as the state's financial situation has become worse, I don't think any part of state programs are safe. I realize this is railfan heresy but, if the matter comes down to a schools/public safety/health vs. the CSRM/Railtown 1897, I am afraid
museums (of any kind) are in for a rough ride. I don't think anyone in Sacramento wants to short schools to finance a rail museum, that would be political suicide.
