Why is UP so determined to keep a line that hasn't been used in over 20 years? E bart would rebuild the line and if UP should ever want to use it again they could run at night. Property taxes must add up and why pay to maintain the signals for 20 years with no trains. To bad, it seems it would be so much cheaper to use it for ebart vs highway 4 and the UP right of way goes right through the neighborhoods it would serve. What a waste, eminent domain?
