Daydreaming last nite along the lines of the T-1 Trust I wondered what locomotives would I resuscitate? Here is my list of 5 in ascending order like CNN ratings: 3 new builds and 2 operating condition restorations of locos currently stuffed and mounted.

5. NYC Niagara 9000 class with latest bearings and other accoutrements.

4. Sandy River & Rangely Lakes 2 foot gauge last 2-6-2.

3. #4294 SP cab-forward at CSRM.

2. N&W #1218 with all roller bearings as per the 1950 engines.

1. NdeM HR-01 3 foot gauge 2-6-6-2 with all modern bearings and maybe higher drivers.

The HR-01 would be to try out on the D&S and C&TS. Rio Grande mikados IIRC have 44" drivers and the NdeM articulateds 37"? The latter seem kinda small.

As I said, daydreaming.
