Recently this group asked for 10 million investment seed money from locals in Humboldt County. A few well healed Humboldters (mostly retirees according to one story) "invested" 600K to the cause, prompting one Eureka City Council person to ask the California AG to investigate. Everyone threatened to sue and that was that. East/West news has been sparse lately and it looked like they tried to clean up their website.....except for the "North Ocean Pacific" thing.
