Your friend was p[robably dreaming. 2472 WAS NEVER IN. MARIN CO. It was donated to San Mateo Co. and was in the Fairgrounds from 1958 until Feb. 1991 when it was towed to Hunters Point for the completion of the rebuild. I worked on the restoration of the engine so I think I might know what I just posted.
