Nice to see this happen, especially this day in age. From what I have heard, these machines are pretty well designed & constructed.
Countries South of the US were big users of motorcars. I rode the rooftop of one in Salvador in '1975. It was on a charter, but they had at least a couple still in service then...Yanks dubbed them "Galloping Bananas". We had a three way meet in the afternoon at a Junction called Sitio del Nino with a pair of NG 2-8-0's and the motorcar. Henry Luna & I were roomies on this trip.
