WOW !!! Thanks so much for posting the link. What Memories - 1985 was my 1st Winterail. The spring & summer of 1985 saw the Espee Gallery Cars & Geeps running side - by - side with the new CalTrain equipment. Niles Tower would burn - twice. The Santa Fe across the Delta West of Stockton was still train order territory. I would visit Orwood, Pittsburg, 4th & Townsend, Cahill St., just a young punk railfan from SoCal !!!
On a self - guided tour of the Espee deadline at Aurant Yard in Alhambra, I would somehow end up in the possession of the engineer's side numberboard off U-33-C class unit # 8600. It's in my train room as we speak.
