Why exactly does CAHSR need a tunnel under Burbank Airport?

Trains Newswire reports that CAHSR planning may be delayed because of planning for a tunnel under Burbank Airport. I thought the plan was to parallel the Metrolink Antelope Valley line through there and then further northwest curve away towards Lancaster in a different tunnel. The Metrolink station wasn't going to be in the airport terminal, but connected with a walkway. Like the walkways that connect different terminals at many airports.
