Steve Phares one night was "railfanning" in his off time at San Bernardino. He had his radio with him, but on the SP channel, the only channel he had at that time. He heard, "SP Detector, Milepost 547.9, inspecting train on track 2, no defects, transmission over." He pressed the transmission button and said, very slowly, the same thing I am going to say to all this non-sense above, "Big Deal!!!"
