Almost 36 Years ago at Oakland 16th St. Station

It is hard for me to realize that I took this photo almost 36 years ago in January of 1973. It wasn't really an SP train as Amtrak had absorbed all passenger service but, looking at the soon to depart Reno Fun Train, you could never tell by the power or the consist.

The events of October 1989 would lead to the obliteration of almost all seen here.
