Yeah, but that's not Oregon or Washington, and none of them wide open windy places, have our valley's full of cars belching unburned hydrocarbons, by the millions, in the sunshine in the summer, making for un-healthy ozone levels.
Trains has done several stories over the last couple of decades on oil, fracking sand, and ethanol. I seem to recall that Trains may have done a flow diagram that mapped that traffic, by route and by volume of traffic in the past. It would be interesting to see an updated flow diagram mapping the movement and volume for these commodities on the rail network, today.
