From a video I watched this morning, authorities in China are not shy about forcefully checking peoples' temperatures, dragging them out of their homes kicking and screaming, and throwing them into quarantine.

A downside of American democracy is that citizens can't be forced to submit (I think?), so that virus could quietly spread like wildfire. I'm very interested to see if COVID-19 gets out of control in different countries.

Everyone makes fun of those doomsday preppers. Not so crazy after all.
