Simple.

The last place 900076 was assigned before it was
retired was Hinkle, which is about about 3 miles
from Hermiston and there was a connection already
in the musuem. An easy, logical move for all parties.

The 900083 was also at Hinkle, although it never
plowed a flake of snow while it was on UP. It never
did work tight even in tests, but was supposedly bought
to replace the 900076 when it was retired. To get rid
of this mistake, it was simple to take both to the museum
in the park.
