I see the Santa Fe Southern was just bought up by some locals. A Congressman is a pretty good "angel" if you are looking for Federal funds, but we don't seem to have one here. So maybe, this operation needs a private sector "angel" with deep (enough...) pockets.
I've seen some what seem like valid criticisms of this operation, how it was run and marketed. But, I also hear aa lot of folks that also give it high marks as a quality historic rail resource and experience. Thus, that might mean there are some real opportunities to run and market this operation better, and build a better and more sustainable business model to preserve and protect it for future generations.
Now the usual cadre of professional train hating trolls can celebrate the potential loss of this historic rail resource, and are free to flame away at me....
