U. P.'S MODOC LINE UPGRADE

The Union Pacific is spending a tiny fortune with loads of new ballast, thousands of new ties on the Modoc Line from Klamath Falls down through Tulelake. I assume they are completing this all the way to Alturas. What I am guessing is the the upgrade is needed to handle the large tank cars that will be used to ship out the bio-fuels when that new plant in Lakeview comes on line.
