1) Slug = no prime mover, and MUST have traction motor power provided by the connected master unit.

2) Calf = contains a prime mover and complete electrical HP control circuitry, but no control cab. Must me MU'ed to the "Cow" in order to have two powered units, controlled from one crew cab, i.e. "Cow and Calf".
