The CCT 2101 got hit by copper thieves so they substituted one of the SW1500s, but they often run pretty big trains and it wasn't always powerful enough. This leaser GP40 was brought in for more horsepower. The "Southern California RR" was the operation that switched the standard gauge side of the US Gypsum plant in Plaster City. It's ex-D&RGW and now belongs to Dieselmotive.
