That's reportedly how a young Andrew Carnegie got his start, working up the chain of command on the Pennsy, before he got famous for those libraries, and making all of that steel... When a mainline crash threatened to close the line for days, while the crews tried to salvage the goods, with no authorization from above, Carnegie issued the famous order to "burn the cars" and open the line....
I've already seen another posting on Facebook, in which the conspiracy theorist's already have a theory, that's already been pulled by FB as unsubstantiated.... But, I suppose that is the state of things these days....
