FRA approves NEC bridge replacement between Secaucus and Kearney, New Jersey

Present bridge is an ancient swing span.

Next bridge will clear nearly all traffic, but will have a drawspan; and a third track.

Primary beneficiary will be New Jersey Transit.

Aligns with next tunnel under the North River to Penn Station, NYC
