I had an interesting one last week, where I had something coming by FedEx "SmartPost" - which like UPS' similar product dumps the shipment at the regional USPS shop and runs, leaving it to the Post Office to spend another week carrying it the last 20 miles. But apparently FedEx had promised somebody that it would arrive on time (after a week and change in transit) so it was delivered at about 6 PM on a Friday by a FedEx truck (also dump & run, but at least somewhere in my front yard). They have perhaps learned that USPS isn't a reliable delivery partner any more?
