How anyone can plan a vacation until the coronavirus is bought under control?

I have been a committee which was planning for a professional conference to be held during the summer. In spring we decided to convene the conference virtually and postpone the in-person meeting until 2021. Earlier this week, we have tentatively decided to postpone the in-person meeting until 2022 as the coronavirus is worse now than it was in Spring.
