The deal with Art was a trumped up charge. After 2 or more trains a day saying there was thick smoke in #6 & #7, Art got someones ear to listen.

After the smoke settled, they pulled the whole crew out of service for not reporting it. I think they all got their back pay but it took Art to wait the longest. That was when they wanted to close the Coast for good. What better way to do it, is to not run any trains.

No 6 was cement lined but No 7 was timbered.
